  1. Execution on digital qualitative projects
  • Recruitment (questionnaire design, programming, sample management and selection)
  • Community setup (discussion guide design, platform setup)
  • Data collection (daily newsletter, moderation, incentives)
  • Reporting (capturing, analysis, and reporting)
  • Attending meetings and presenting findings where necessary
  1. Ensure high quality deliverables on other qualitative projects where the execution is done by other researchers
  • Having planning / brainstorming sessions with fellow researchers
  • Review outputs and give feedback (written and verbal)
  • Ensure deliverables are on standard before it gets to account executive for review
  1. Use standardised documents and follow internal processes
  • Follow standardised procedures (e.g. admin, recruitment, community setup, correspondence with participants, incentives)
  1. Skills transfer and development of other qualitative researchers
  • Training other researchers on key deliverables (discussion guides, reports)
  • Assist with conceptualisation, problem solving, expressing ideas during projects etc. 
  1. Work as part of the value chain
  • Liaising with Account and Research Executives to ensure timeous delivery of outputs (i.e. sending updates, responding to queries, scheduling reviews, sending deliverables on time for review)
  1. Consulting on proposals where a qualitative methodology is most fitting
  • Discussing and brainstorming qualitative / hybrid possibilities with sales team and other researchers to determine feasibility for MROCs
  • Writing proposals for qualitative / hybrid projects

Competences Required:

  • Postgraduate degree (must include research methodology as part of the course) in marketing, business, economics, or social sciences
  • Minimum 5 years market research experience of which 3 should be senior qual research experience
  • Proven research knowledge
  • Excellent qualitative analytical and report writing skills
  • Ability to manage a research project from start to end
  • Ability to train junior qualitative staff
  • Attention to detail
  • Tech-savvy
  • Ability to work independently
