South Africa’s first, leading, and largest modern insights agency (that’s us!) is hiring. Columinate is seeking a quantitative researcher who is interested in working with innovative online technologies and research techniques. This specific position is for a researcher that is interested in joining our recently formalised innovation department, also known as the Columinate Psychology Lab. Some of the key focus areas of this department include:

  • Development of new research models/product offerings
  • Exploration and application of new tools/methodologies/trends in the research space
  • Incorporation of cognitive behavioural psychology to consumer research

In this role you will be involved in the execution of projects, as well as assisting on various tasks, ranging from extensive desktop research to administrative duties. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and the ability to work independently.

Minimum Requirements

  • Three year degree (must include research methodology as part of the course) in marketing, business, economics, or social sciences (ideally higher degrees – Honours or Masters). Psychology related major preferable.
  • Minimum three years’ research experience
  • Proven research knowledge with solid analytics skills
  • Ability to manage a research project from start to end
  • Attention to detail
  • Tech-savvy
  • A strong interest in innovation
  • Strong ability to work independently and confidently deliver high standard of work without micro-management
  • Interest/background in cognitive and behavioural psychology preferable
  • Ability to present to clients/within internal organisation preferable
